How to Choose the Perfect Carpet or Rug Size for Your Room
When choosing a rug or carpet, size matters just as much as design, colour, and material. A correctly sized rug can elevate a space—while the wrong one can throw off the entire layout. At Nobel Carpets, we’ve created an easy-to-follow Rug Size Guide to help you find the perfect fit for every room.
Bedroom Rug Sizing
Whether you have a single bed or a super king, here are your best size options:
Single Bed (S):
• Full coverage: 160cm W x 230cm L
• Round option: 200cm diameter
• Small runner: 60cm W x 115cm L
Double Bed (D):
• Large rug: 240cm W x 330cm L
• Medium rug: 180cm W x 290cm L
• Small runners: 60cm W x 115cm L (each side)
• Circular option: 200cm diameter
Queen Bed (Q):
• Large rug: 240cm W x 340cm L
• Medium rug: 200cm W x 290cm L
• Small runners: 80cm W x 150cm L (each side)
King/Super King (K):
• Large rug: 240cm W x 340cm L
• Medium rug: 200cm W x 290cm L
Tip: For comfort, leave at least 45–60 cm of rug visible on each side of the bed.

• 3-Seater Sofa: 200cm W x 290cm L
• 3+ Seater with Coffee Table: 200cm W x 340cm L
• 4+ Seater: 280cm W x 400cm L

• Compact or Circular Layout: Round Rug: 220cm diameter
Tip: Make sure the front legs of all major furniture pieces sit on the rug for cohesion.
Dining Room Rug Sizing
Make sure the rug fits your dining table with chairs pulled out:
• 4-Seater Table: 200cm W x 290cm L
• 6-Seater Table: 240cm W x 340cm L
• 8-Seater Table: 255cm W x 365cm L
• 10-Seater Table: 266cm W x 400cm L
• 12-Seater Table: 400cm W x 500cm L
• Round Table: 220cm diameter
Tip: Leave at least 60–75 cm around the table for chairs to move easily.
