At Nobel Carpets, we have been weaving custom Axminster carpets at our own factory in Bandung, Indonesia since 1977. Every carpet is made to order, built to your exact specifications, and backed by certifications that satisfy the most rigorous project requirements.

Axminster weaving is a cut-pile construction technique that locks each tuft of yarn individually into the backing — producing carpets with exceptional dimensional stability, vibrant colour reproduction, and a luxurious, dense pile that holds its appearance under heavy foot traffic.

Unlike tufted carpets, Axminster patterns are woven directly into the structure of the carpet itself. This means colours don't fade, bleed, or wear away over time. 100% New Zealand Wool — Traced From Fleece-to-Floor

Most carpet manufacturers buy yarn from third-party suppliers. We don't.

Our Axminster carpets are woven using yarn produced exclusively by Albany Spinning Mills — our sister company, located alongside our factory in Bandung, Indonesia. Albany carries forward a wool manufacturing legacy stretching back to 1924, when the original Albany Woollen Mill was established in Western Australia to process locally-sourced wool for textile production.

Today, Albany Spinning Mills cards, dyes, blends, and spins all yarn in-house in Bandung — using 100% certified New Zealand wool. This means we control every stage of the process from raw fleece to finished carpet, with full traceability and zero compromise on material quality.

For specifiers and procurement teams, this matters. It means you can request full material documentation, know exactly what is in your carpet, and specify with confidence.

Every Nobel Axminster carpet is produced to order. There are no standard collections to choose from — because your project deserves better than off-the-shelf.

Our in-house design team works directly with you from concept to production. Whether you come to us with a fully developed brief, a mood board, or just an idea, we will translate your vision into a technical design ready for the loom. Clients with their own design files are welcome to supply artwork directly.
